Technology Overview

SpeedPox Fast-Curing Epoxy Resin Systems

This technology involves one-component (1K) epoxy resin systems characterized by extremely fast curing upon activation by UV light or heat.

The systems have a long pot life at room temperature, allowing for flexible handling without time pressure. The curing process is based on a patented, self-propagating mechanism that ensures complete polymerization within seconds, without the need for post-curing. This reaction creates a novel polymer network architecture, leading to improved mechanical and thermal properties of the final products.

Its main function is to provide a highly efficient curing process that eliminates long residence times in industrial ovens and accelerates the curing of various epoxy-based materials.

Faster UV Curing

SpeedPox technology for UV curing

This technology's UV-curing variant provides ultra-fast curing with UV light. Its key innovation enables this process for applications and complex geometries that were previously technically challenging or unfeasible.

It is characterized by outstanding time and energy efficiency, potentially reducing process times and energy consumption by up to 99% compared to traditional thermal methods. User convenience ("Convenience") is high thanks to the one-component (1K) system: Mixing of resin and hardener is eliminated, which minimizes process errors, ensures a clean workflow, and avoids time pressure during application before exposure. Curing itself is specifically triggered by UV irradiation and occurs within seconds.
Application areas are therefore often found in electronics, rapid repairs, high-speed production, and wherever precise, fast, light-induced curing is advantageous.
instant heat curing

SpeedPox technology for heat curing

The heat-curing variant of this technology uses heat to activate a rapid cure. As a one-component (1K) system, it offers exceptional user convenience: it requires no mixing, ensures a cleaner process, and provides a long working time at room temperature without pressure.

Convenience - No mixing required, cleaner process, one-component, no time pressure during application.

The fast, self-propagating curing mechanism increases time and energy efficiency by significantly reducing the required holding time at elevated temperatures compared to conventional systems. Regarding safety and environmental friendliness, it is positive that no waste is generated from mixing losses, and potentially fewer harmful substances are involved. An important advantage for implementation is that existing heat sources, such as ovens, can generally continue to be used, meaning that fundamental new investments in curing infrastructure are usually not necessary; the core process of heat application remains the same.
The components quickly reach their final strength and are fully loadable and ready for further processing immediately after cooling down from the curing process ("Instantly operatable"). This technology is therefore particularly suitable for the automotive industry, aerospace, sports & leisure sector, building & construction, wind turbines, and marine applications, including underwater use. It is also advantageous for composite components such as fillers and fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP), especially in applications requiring fast cycle times.

" SpeedPox has significantly transformed my electronics production process. By implementing this innovative method, we have streamlined critical steps, allowing us to save a full day of production time and led to a 15% increase in our daily output. "
